Ten years ago, Daniele and Steven chose Southampton as their family’s “home away from home” in large measure because of the Southampton Chabad and the extraordinary community created by Rabbi Konikov and Chani. The choice has been richly rewarded in many ways. Their children have spent wonderful days at Camp Gan Izzy. The entire family has been welcomed into the warmth of the Konikov home on Thursday afternoons with freshly baked challah and songs to usher in the Shabbat. And of course Shabbat mornings are incomplete without attending services at the Southampton Chabad.

Chabad is committed to spiritual leadership and Jewish education, support for the State of Israel, and the effortless enjoyment and embrace of Jewish tradition. These philosophies, as well as its culture of inclusion, are what attracted Daniele and Steven to be part of the organization. The Bleier’s are delighted to be this year’s honorees at the 16th annual dinner.

Steven is a partner and portfolio manager at Brigade Capital Management. He has a BA in Economics from Johns Hopkins University and an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. Daniele graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and earned her graduate degree in Nutrition from New York University.

They reside in Englewood, New Jersey with their 5 children—Molly, Aela, Noa, Sam and Zach.
